Silver Lake is currently open from the fourth Saturday in April through October 31st and offers good harvest opportunity for stocked rainbow trout. The lake also supports naturally reproducing populations of largemouth bass, yellow perch, black crappie, and brown bullhead catfish.

Accessibility: There are no designated accessible spaces alongside of Silver Lake Boulevard where the route starts on the south end. The trail surface is cement/asphalt, gravel, or dirt and typically at least 3 feet wide.

There is a boat launch inside the park near the main parking area.

Silver Lake Park has two RV campgrounds with water and electric hookups, one tent campground with no hookups, and a group camp suitable for RVs. Each campground offers a different experience. Reservations are recommended, but we do have a limited number of first come/first serve sites.

Six lakefront cabins and the Lakeside Lodge include beds with vinyl-covered mattresses, refrigerators, oven/stoves, sinks, and propane fireplaces. There is also one rustic camping cabin without a kitchen located in the Maple Creek Campground.
