How does APEXi SAFC work?
APEXi SAFC II Modifies air-flow meter signal (pressure signal in some vehicles) to optimize fuel-air ratio; Vacuum Fluorescent Display (VFD). The second-generation SAFC is a fuel computer that adjusts fuel/air ratio by modifying the air-flow meter/MAP sensor signal.

How do you hook up a ECU to an engine?
Connecting to the ECU The diagnostic socket is always sited inside the car’s cabin and within one metre of the steering wheel. Connect the other end of the interface cable to a free USB port on your laptop. Insert the vehicle interface cable into the car’s diagnostic socket.
Can you run turbo without tune?
Unfortunately yes. Car will run fine under normal condition with no tune , but pressing more than half throttle will be lean and not safe. Also, adding the turbocharger is a nice addition to the performance, but lets say that tuning the car with that turbo is what will give you most of your performance gain!
What does an Apexi ECU do?
The unit is a full replacement ECU for your factory computer. It is not a piggyback system and as such allows full control of the engine and computer controlled systems. It comes with a base map of your cars computer with base map tuned for basic mods such as exhaust, boost controller, air filter upgrade.
Where does the ECU get power from?
The base of the transistor is a keyed 12 volt source. The collector is connected to the one end of the ECU power relay coil, with the other end being connected to +12V. When the key is turned on the transistor conducts, energizing the relay and supplying power to the ECU.
