Can I change my YouFit location?
If you would like to leave one Youfit location and transfer to another, simply speak to one of the front desk staff and they will facilitate your request. You will need to come into the club and sign a transfer form.
Are Youfit and Planet Fitness the same?
Planet Fitness came first, but after the founder sold the trademark in 2002, he decided to create Youfit based on Planet Fitness’s success. However, even though Planet Fitness and Youfit share a similar business model, they each have different ways of marketing their brands and attracting new clients.
Can you deadlift at Youfit?
Does Youfit Have Deadlift Platforms? Many Youfit locations don’t have deadlift platforms. However, the free weights area is covered with rubber flooring, so you shouldn’t have any issue doing deadlifts there.

YouFit was one of several major brands that filed for Chapter 11 in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In February 2021, it went through financial restructuring during which ownership landed in the hands of a group of investors, including majority shareholders Birch Grove Capital.

Walrath of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware granted YouFit’s largely consensual request at a hearing Wednesday. A lender group that includes Birch Grove Capital LP and Goldman Sachs Bank USA purchased YouFit’s business out of bankruptcy by forgiving $85 million in debt.

Does Youfit have a lunk alarm?
Youfit doesn’t have a lunk alarm and isn’t as quick to turn away people who don’t fit its target demographic. But it still mostly caters to casual gym-goers, so if you’re more experienced, you may feel out of place. Youfit has friendly staff and the members are courteous towards each other.
Does Youfit allow chalk?
You also can’t use chalk or drop your weights. If you can work around these drawbacks, there’s no reason for you not to train at Youfit. Just be mindful of the fact that you may not run into many other competitive powerlifters at this gym.
