What is the replacement for R507?
Opteon™ XP40 (R-449A) GWP 1397 Low GWP, HFO based refrigerant which can replace R-404A and R-507 in both new and existing equipment.
What is R507 gas?
R507 is a HFC blend, used as a replacement for R502 and R22 in low and medium temperature refrigeration. With a Global Warming Potential (GWP) of 3985, R507 is under similar scrutiny to R404A.
Is R507 and r507a the same?
R507A is an HFC azeotropic blend with zero ODP. It is an accepted alternative to R-22 and R-502 in low and medium temperature commercial refrigeration systems. It exhibits similar performance to that of R-502 over the operating range….R507.

Is R507 being phased out?
What has been decided? In the new legislation on synthetic refrigerants, the refrigerants R404A and R507 are being phased out quickly. These are gasses with a GWP value above 2,500. As of January 1, 2020, replenishing your installation may only be done with the reclaimed and/or regenerated refrigerant R404A or R507.
Is R507 and R404A the same?
The two refrigerants are almost identical. Essentially, if you take R507 and add a small amount of R134a, it becomes R404A.
Is R507 Freon?
Freon™ 507 (R-507) Refrigerant.
Can I replace R404A with R507?
Please note that only A1 class refrigerants should replace R404A, R507 or R134a in an existing system.
Can R507 be charged as a Vapour?
R-507A should be charged in liquid phase to ensure the correct composition is being used in the refrigeration system. In situations where vapor is normally charged into a system, a valve should be installed in the charging line to flash the liquid to vapor while charging.
Is R507 toxic?
INHALATION: R-507 is low in acute toxicity in animals. When oxygen levels in air are reduced to 12-14% by displacement, symptoms of asphyxiation, loss of coordination, increased pulse rate and deeper respiration will occur. At high levels, cardiac arrhythmia may occur.
What class is R507 refrigerant?
Safety Class A1
R507 is a non-flammable refrigerant (Safety Class A1).
Is R507 a blend?
R507 is a HFC blend, used as a replacement for R502 and R22 in low and medium temperature refrigeration.
What is refrigerant R507 used for?
Used in low and medium temperature refrigeration, it can be used in any system specified to use R404A. R507 has been approved by OEMs as an alternative choice to R404A for commercial and industrial low temperature refrigeration….Product Information.
