What is the point of WeakAuras?
Weak Auras is a really incredibly powerful addon, enabling users to create custom alerts for pretty much anything they want to see. However, like many very powerful addons, it can be a little daunting, and there’s an awful lot going on.
How does WeakAuras companion work?
The WeakAuras Companion is a cross-platform (Windows/macOS/Linux) application built to provide the missing link between Wago and the WeakAuras World of Warcraft addon. It enables you to fetch updates to the auras you have installed directly from Wago, without having to manually copy-paste import strings all the time.

For my WeakAuras, I just right-click the group and select “Export to String” and copy/paste the string into a Text File, naming the File for which WeakAura it represents.

- Then go in-game and find those auras, highlighted by a helpful white circle icon, and click it to begin importing the updates.

When right clicking a WeakAura in the options menu, the copy URL option will show up (if your WeakAura has the URL data field). Wago.io is automatically adding this field to all WeakAuras so you’ll always know where you copied your WeakAura from and where to find an updated version if/when the author updates it.
