Is Mindbreak Trap good?
For those decks, Mindbreak Trap is a good solution to that problem as it is a hammer several matchups, including The EPIC Storm. The other place that Mindbreak Trap has started appearing is in the sideboards of blue decks such as Snow Control.
How does Mindbreak trap work?
Mindbreak Trap’s alternative cost condition checks whether an opponent cast three or more spells this turn, not whether those spells have resolved. If a spell is exiled, it’s removed from the stack and thus will not resolve. The spell isn’t countered; it just no longer exists.
