Can you get into UWI without A levels?

(a) Passes in five subjects of which at least two must be at theCAPE/GCE A’level while the remainder may be an acceptable pass in CXC(CSEC)/GCE/BGCSE examinations. The following are acceptable : Two 2-unit CAPE (Caribbean Advanced Proficiency Examination)

Does UWI accept CXC?

Applicants should meet normal or lower matriculation AND have an acceptable pass in CXC, CSEC (General Proficiency) Mathematics or its equivalent.

How long does it take to get a bachelor’s degree in UWI?

A full-time undergraduate student will normally take three academic years to complete a degree programme in the Faculties of Engineering, Social Sciences, Law, Humanities & Education, Science and Technology and Food and Agriculture.

What is the difference between UWI and UWI Open Campus?

Open Campus has some differences from its sister campuses within the UWI institution. It has similar governance structures and committees with one exception – a small and focused financial committee of Council which it uses instead of the larger finance and General Purposes Committee that exists on the other campuses.

What CXC subjects are needed to become a doctor?

  • Mininum of five CXC, CSEC or GCE O-level subjects in English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics;

You are required to enrol in FEE Pay every semester for which you are registered as this process would grant you financial clearance. 6. Is there a cost to using FEE Pay? A:There is no qualification requirement to pursue CAPE examinations but some subject areas strongly recommend that the CSEC level studies in the subject area be covered before pursuing CAPE studies.

What happens if you fail a foundation course at UWI?

Failing a course serves to depress one’s GPA. You should therefore do all in your powers to avoid failing a course. If the course is repeated and passed, the grade obtained is also used in the calculation of one’s GPA. Are students required to attend all their lectures and tutorials within a semester?

How many times can you apply to UWI?

You can apply for a maximum of two semesters at a time.
