Can you cycle in Priory Park Reigate?

Priory Park is located on Bell Street in the centre of Reigate, Surrey. By bike: bike racks are avaliable in the childrens playground. By car: M25 Junction 8 follow signs for Reigate.

The whole of the Priory Estate was acquired by the Borough of Reigate and was opened to the general public. 1974 onwards Reigate and Banstead Borough Council Developed the use as a public park .

Dogs. Dogs should be kept on a lead in all the formal park areas eg sunken garden, cafe area and around the tennis courts. Please also make sure you clean up after your dog at all times.

When was Reigate Priory built?

Reigate Priory is a grade 1 listed manor house surrounded by 65 acres of parkland, in the centre of the Surrey town. It is now home to a school and a public museum. The Priory was founded in the 1235 by William de Warenne, 6th Earl of Surrey under King Henry II.

Reigate Priory School is to move out of the historic building it occupies in Priory Park, and into a new facility in the grounds of the former Canon headquarters off Cockshot Hill. The target date for the move is September 2023, to allow time for design, planning approval and construction of the new 600-pupil building.

Gatton Park is open to the public on selected days throughout the year. Open Days are on the first Sunday of the month from February to October 1-5pm. In addition, we have a programme of special events, workshops and children’s activities. We also host school trips, group tours and birthday parties.
